I was looking for somewhere to chill on Twitch one night when I saw Lucia trying to do D’lo Brown’s iconic power walk and was in tears laughing. I went to follow her on IG and was surprised to find out I already did! Formerly known as IsSheBlackOrAzn, Lucia has been captivating people for years with make up looks, body art, and cosplay. Now she’s sharing her love of wrestling within the same spaces, as well as on Twitch and TikTok.
I hit her up on Twitter while she was taking a break from her cosplay badassery to ask if she’d take the time out to talk about her art and wrestling passions.
You talk about wrestling A LOT of your social media. What got you into it and what do you like about the current climate of wrestling versus previous years?
I’ve only been watching wrestling for about 5 years so I’m still pretty new to it but I know a lot already. I actually started watching with my ex a few years ago and fell in love almost immediately! I love how passionate wrestling fans are! Honestly the wrestling community can be a bit toxic, especially now that other wrestling promotions have gained popularity. But I stay away from that because the only fight that matters is in the ring.
What is a wrestling related hill you will absolutely die on?
WWE is not wrestling. 
What cosplays have you done for wrestling and how were they received?
I haven’t taken pics in many wrestling cosplays but during my twitch streams I have dressed up as Macho Man, Luna Vachon, Sting, and Shawn Michaels. I’m sure I’m forgetting a couple.
How did you start doing body art?
I was actually just bored at home and wanted to paint on Asuka’s mask. The rest is history.
What’s the wildest thing you have done for a cosplay or while in cosplay?
I haven’t done anything crazy in cosplay really. I have gone to the store in full paint though. I just got stared at a lot. I actually got a couple clients from it though 
How long have you been cosplaying?
It’s been about 5 years now.
What kind of cosplayer do you consider yourself?
Are there different types? 
I usually say I’m a Cosplayer and CosPainter.

BOTH!!!!
What got you into cosplaying? Why do you cosplay?
The community really got me into cosplay. I was just painting on myself just to not be bored at first but the community has been so welcoming toward me so I started doing actual costumes
Is cosplay a hobby you could see yourself doing in 10 years?
Oh yeah! For sure!! I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years!
If someone told you they hated your cosplay, what would you do?
Say okay 
What is your favorite cosplay project?
I enjoy projects that require me to make props. I love my Harley Quinn mallet and my Sukuna finger that I made.
What is your least favorite part of putting on your cosplay?
Sometimes it’s hot and tight. It can def be a struggle.
What is a cosplay pet peeve of yours?
When people don’t shower and groom themselves for being in costume all day.
