Many people know about how you started your music in 2017, but not many know about how you started cosplaying. How did you get into it?
Well cosplaying has actually, always been a huge dream of mine! In 2021/2022 I started to “closet cosplay” characters like Boa Hancock from One Piece, Diane from 7 Deadly Sins, and Rukia from Bleach, on TikTok and Instagram simply because I had the colors and fits that made sense to cosplay and create content for them. When I created content for those characters, that’s when the “JoJo Pose” Trend Really started, so when I made those type of videos, people loved them! Then when I went to my first anime convention this year, which was Dreamcon, that’s when I really got to plan my big debut for cosplaying with entire outfits. I shopped from head to toe, with wigs, costume, and shoes for the perfect cosplay looks! I brought my real Boa Hancock cosplay to life at the One Piece Meet Up, and then Orihime Inoue for the Bleach Meet up, and lastly Suma for the Demon Slayer Meet up.

Favorite cosplay you’ve done so far?
My favorite cosplay would probably have to be my Boa Hancock one! Boa Hancock’s cosplay made me feel so entirely powerful, because that’s the type of woman that she is and that I believe in embodying! I wore her iconic Purple Skull Dress, which was such a lovely color on me, that I absolutely adored! I also got her snake earrings with the cosplay, which was also something that I loved! It was just very enlightening to cosplay someone like Boa, because she’s a gorgeous woman, who can fight, and doesn’t take no for an answer! Also, with her being a pirate empress I related to that as well, being a Captain of my own crew called “The Galaxy Pirates”.

Have you written any songs based on your anime interests?
Yes, I have two songs so far that have been highly influenced by anime. My first one was called “The Moon” ft. Matto B which is of course inspired by one of my all time favorite anime’s “Sailor Moon”. The vibe is so lovely for that song, it’s very romantic, and has a bop to it as well. The influence behind it came from an image in my head of Sailor Moon as Sailor Serenity sitting at her palace on the moon, waiting for the one that she loves. So that’s what the song is mainly influenced by, and of course just those feelings you have for the person you love, and how they are on your mind. The second song I’ve written that is anime influenced is my latest single actually called “Never Give Up”. I’m sure just by hearing the title, you could guess what anime it’s inspired by! My favorite anime of all time, which is Naruto. He’s influenced me the most in my life and overall in my career, because of the vow to himself that he will never give up on his dreams! So that’s basically what the song is about, how I learned from Naruto that he never gave up at all, so I won’t either. The vibe is super chill, but also gives you a “play this at the cookout” vibe, and that’s exactly what I wanted! I wanted people to feel inspired the way Naruto made me feel, and vibe along with it.

Has your modeling career influenced your cosplays at all?
My modeling career has totally influenced my cosplays! For the company “Parade” that I model and am ambassador for, I have to create unique content a lot of the times to of course, stand out. There was one time in particular this year, that I was very proud to be a cosplayer. The company was running a Halloween Costume event, and the winner would get a gift card for the store. I took the merchandise that they sent me and created a cosplay look that was basically like a sexy Sasuke! I was able to be one of the winners for that contest thanks to that cosplaying idea that I had.

Also, in my cosplaying modeling career I was super thankful to work with the anime merch company called “Dark Crow Sales”. (Find them @ darkcrowsales.com) They were amazing to be an ambassador for because, I was able to create content freely and dress up as characters using their merch as well! I created amazing “Y2K” cosplay looks for characters like Luffy from One Piece, Giyuu, Rengoku, and Shinobu from Demon Slayer, and so much more, just by using their merch! I had such an amazing time creating my own looks, for characters they would send me, and being able to bring them to life in my own way.

What obstacles have you had to overcome in your careers, such as biases, family not being supportive, speed bumps that impacted your confidence, et cetera?
Some of the obstacles that I had to overcome in my career, was definitely a small bit of family members thinking that I shouldn’t give my all into my music career and get like a regular 9-5 job. Even though, they wanted the best for me and knew that music was my love and passion, it’s almost like they just wanted me to get funds over create lifelong happiness. For me though, I always believed in following my dreams, and doing what made me happy no matter what anyone told me. So that’s when I decided to move to LA, to fully be in the scene of where my dreams can fly and come true.

Have you performed at any conventions? Are there any you would like to perform at or even just attend in 2024?
I have not performed at any conventions yet! Next year I would love to perform at “Anime Expo” which takes place in California! I’ve already signed up for it, so if you’re going next year hopefully you’ll be seeing me on stage! But I would love to perform at any convention honestly. Even for anime after party events like “Trap Sushi” would be a whole vibe to perform for!

What’s your favorite anime that you’ve watched in the past year?
Did you have any that disappointed you?
Honestly..I’ve watched a lot of anime this year HAHA! I’m a total anime binger who likes to binge everything. But probably one of my favorites that I’ve watched is a shojo anime called “A Girl and her Guard Dog” it’s just a really cute and juicy anime that makes me squeal! I am a total sucker for romance anime, so I was on the edge of my seat for every episode, gushing over some of the episodes with my friends. To be truthful though, I don’t have any disappointments in any of the anime’s that I’ve watched. Everything that I watch I genuinely get obsessed with, and am not one of those people who sit there and nitpick everything about an anime.

What are your goals for the new year?
For the upcoming new year, one of my goals is definitely to cosplay more! I have so much fun cosplaying, and I have so many people that request for me to cosplay some of their favorite characters, so I want to fulfill those wishes! Another one of my goals, is definitely to go to more anime conventions! I’ll be going to Dreamcon again for sure next year, and maybe even Anime Expo, but I would love to go to Anime NYC, or even AWA, and so much more! To even perform at any of those conventions that I mentioned, would also be a goal of mine as well. I also, want to make it a goal that I make a lot more anime inspired music next year. So I can have plenty of anime material to perform, and for others to enjoy. Lastly, it would be amazing to get the mangas/animes that I have in mind called “Kawaii Goddess” and “The Galaxy Pirates” to get started on with drawings, and well as storyline, and shopped out to a producing company. There is so much that I want to give to the anime community, so I just want to fulfill all of these dreams using everything I have.
